Temporary Patient Registrations

You can register as a temporary patient if you are visiting the area or staying here for a short period. This allows you to receive necessary medical care while away from your usual GP and does not affect your permanent registration.

Temporary registration is usually available for up to three months.

To register as a temporary patient, please contact reception, who will advise you on the process and provide the necessary forms.

If you live within our practice boundary and would like to register permanently, please contact reception for a Registration Pack or complete our online registration form.

All newly registered patients will be asked to complete a health questionnaire. Where possible, please also provide a copy of your current repeat prescription to help us process medication requests efficiently.

Non-English Speakers

These fact sheets explain how health services in the UK, including the NHS, work for people who have recently arrived in the UK and are seeking asylum.

They provide information about:

What GPs (family doctors) do and how they support patients

How GPs refer patients to other health services

How to register with a GP practice

How to access urgent or emergency care

The information is written in clear, simple language and has been tested with user groups to make sure it is easy to understand.

Disabled Patient Facilities

Clarence Medical Centre is a purpose-built surgery, with consulting rooms spread over two floors. All consulting rooms are accessible by wheelchairs with use of a patient lift.

Access to the main entrance is possible by ramps from West Kinmel Street and from the surgery car park, which also has dedicated disabled parking bays.

Hearing loops are in place in both surgeries.

Ty Elan Surgery is all on the ground floor and is entirely wheelchair accessible. In addition there are parking facilities with disabled bays in front of the surgery and adjacent pharmacy.
